I often get asked 'What’s a Travel Manager?'
I am a Travel Manager.
I’ve been traveling since I was a little boy -- my father was a United Airlines Pilot and we travelled the world extensively as I was growing up -- and over the years I’ve learned how to enhance the pleasure of travel and minimize the inconveniences.
For the last 30 years I’ve been managing travel for a select group of clients. I facilitate their bookings -- usually at a better price than they can find themselves -- and I use my extensive knowledge to proactively avoid common travel headaches. In short, I make travel as easy as possible so my clients can focus on their own priorities. It takes experience to know when the cheapest deal isn’t always the best deal.
And as for me? Well you can find me anywhere from coast to coast. I love to visit the Pacific Northwest, sampling coffee and getting a chance to relax in the amazing outdoor life of the PNW. I also spend a good amount of time in Nova Scotia, with its amazing scenery and breathtaking cliffs. And one of these days I’ll be taking off to Scandinavia to chase the land of the midnight sun.
I am an old school kind of guy. Personal relationships and dedicated service form the basis of all my client relationships. Pick up a phone or shoot me a text: no matter where I am, I’ll expedite your travel and get you back on track.
How about you? Are you ready to embrace a new breed of travel?
Are you ready to Travel Well?

The best journeys begin when one traveller looks at another and says “Let’s go!”
And so it was with me.
My friend, business partner and mentor Bruce Lo looked at me 25 years ago and saw a fellow traveller. Bruce was the owner and president of Oriental Express Travel for over 20 years. He had the heart and soul of a true explorer, and he passed that love of travel on to me so many years ago. I could never thank him enough for all he built into my life and the lives of countless clients and friends. My world was rocked in 2016 with the untimely passing of Bruce, but after acquiring Oriental Express from the Lo family that same year, I began a new journey in the amazing world of concierge travel.
In 2018 we rebranded Oriental Express as Wayport Travel to better represent the changing travel industry. Now Wayport serves an expanding base of clients who become true fellow travelers. We share a common language: love of travel, novel experiences, and an overwhelming appreciation for the journey itself.
Thank you, Bruce. You truly taught me to travel well.
